The RSPCA makes a mockery of the ‘Promotion of Kindness’

Press Release
For Immediate Release
30th August 2022

The Self Help Group for Farmers, Pet Owners and Others experiencing difficulties with the RSPCA (The SHG) has been campaigning for an animal NHS if only for the animals of pensioners and those on means tested benefits because far too many people are forced to sign their animals over to charities like the RSPCA when faced with large vet bills and are refused treatment unless they can pay immediately. The charities then treat the animal, use it to run a fund raising campaign and sell it.

No care is given to the heartbreak of the owner or the animal.

The SHG was astonished to see that despite their continued criticism for such actions, The RSPCA have done it again. Instead of helping the owners of a dog who had been badly injured in a traffic accident and who couldn’t afford the vet bill they got her signed over then provided treatment and now want the public to foot the bill

Anne Kasica of The SHG said: “Wouldn’t it have been nice if they had treated her and let her stay with the people she loves? Instead of letting her think she has been abandoned just when she needs the comfort of her family around her? “

“The “promotion of kindness” seems to be just an empty slogan in the RSPCA’s repertoire when there is publicity to be gained and animals to sell. “

“Shame on the RSPCA for this disgraceful way of working. Our hearts go out to this poor dog and her owners who will all be grieving for each other and while they suffer no doubt the people who want a talking point pet that they can say they “rescued” by buying her from the RSPCA will be queuing to log their interest in her. “

“Cases like this are a mockery of the “Promotion of Kindness” which features in the objects of the RSPCA.

Notes to Editors: –

1 When a charity asks for a minimum donation for any animal that is nothing more or less than a sale price.

2 The SHG wants to see an animal NHS, especially now that we are in a financial crisis and veterinary fees are rising astronomically. It can not be in the interests of anyone to see people forced to give up much loved members of their family. If charities can fund raise for treatment for these animals when in their care they could help to raise funds to pay for treatment while leaving the animal with its own family.

Nice point. Their disgusting ruthlessness goes beyond their abuse of the legal system, is reflected in everything they do.
